Most importantly, the net proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the Tribal Group Welfare Fund, towards the educational expenses and needs of the Irula Tribe youths.

About Velpari A Musical

The Velpari Musical brings to light a sliver of history and Tamil culture, and celebrates the greatness that rises in the face of adversity! Velpari will present the relentless battles of survival by a cluster of clans against insurmountable forces. Through creative, visual retelling of ancient historical events, we hope to acquaint audiences to the impact and influence of those past events.

Local members have united to bring together literature, music, and drama to recreate Tamil history and culture in a live action musical. The vivid costumes, vibrant music, and details to authenticity is sure to captivate and mesmerize the audience! We hope the Velpari musical will not only entertain, but also serve as an inspiration and guidance for our future generations.

Support Our Cause for Tribal Welfare

The purpose of the VELPARI Musical is not only to entertain, but to bring awareness and raise funds to help the Tribal Community of Tamil Nadu. Through extensive research and communications, we have identified the Adi Federation NGO as our trusted liaison to reach the Irula Tribe, near the town of Anaikatti.

Our main focus is to provide assistance for college going tribal youths. There are currently 25 students enrolled in college this year who are in need of financial assistance. The help we provide to every student will pass forward as socio-economic progress for their entire community. We are contributing all of the net proceeds from ticket sales of Velpari A Musical towards the Tribal Welfare Fund.
